[Little old for the news]

You scared the crap out of my cat lol :)

Aside from that I thought it was a good motiv but personally I didn't feel enough development to keep me hooked on that theme for as long as it was present, which since every aspect of the song was heavily dependant on the theme it was present the whole song.

I give it 7 but I really think you could revisit this song and break it down and use aspects of it to make a 10

[The Penetrating Darkness]

Loved the effect

I really like this piece. You took a theme and you layered it with variations from that theme and when they all came together it really built some tension (greatly due to you use of what sounded like tremolo strings).

I really liked at 2:02 where that haunting melody comes in because it prepared the listener for the space that came after which the signaled the start of the B section. The B section then built back up in tension, the same way the A section did, and then ultimatly comes to the resolution of the song.

The resolution is great because while it concludes the song it does not resolve the built up tension of the piece which leaves the listener in the same state a few seconds after hearing the piece as they were a few seconds into the piece, tense and on edge, and since I feel this was the desired effect I say bravo.

I like

It really picks up in the middle and even in the end you can still hear an "echo" of the energy that came from the middle.

Begining is very creepy and original. Haven't really heard anything like that before.

I felt this is the #1 song on Rhythm rockets. I played through the game with this song 3 times.

If I were a flash designer I would put this in a game. It also loops it self pretty perfectly, maybe only off by a couple tenths of a secound.

I disagree with other review

I saw one person said it was "cluttered." I humbly disagree with that. I think it is one of the best dance songs I have heard from this site.

I really hope someone uses it in a flash, it would be great for one of those fast paced stick games.

I think it is one of those songs that truely deserves a 5 and a 10 :)

its like a mix of a sporting event, an anime(as said below) and a dance party track lol.

I like the beat and you mixed it up enough to keep my interest the whole way through.

It is a little out of my genre though, so sorry if I can't go farther than I like it lol :)

The best song on the 30 new list.

You should listen to composers like Christopher Tin (civilization 4 composer). This song reminded me of Baba Yetu. It is quite a bit different but I felt it had the same power and energy.

Almost

I would give a 10 with a few different effects. needed to be smoother I felt. Dreams and Peace don't make me think of a piercing effect with high attack.

slow and ends up going fast?

Didn't get that feel. I felt it in the begining and was like "yeah I feel the slow." but then the middle felt slower and the ending felt only a tiny bit faster than start.

If it had developed with maybe more instruments, quicker melodies, and a cresendo you might have gotten the desired effect.

that aside it's a good song. :)

actually, you know what... i think im going to make a remix. I felt that maybe this song was finished, but i feel the same as you. Keep an eye out for a remix, or i will just pm you if you want. The remix wont be finished tonight perhaps tomorrow.
